Areas of Activity

The Institute’s areas of activity are broadly categorized into five areas: education, research, innovation, commercialization, and services. Within this framework, the areas of activity of the Institute of Clean Energy Technologies are listed below:

  •  To provide scientific and applied, product- and project-oriented graduate education and training in energy technologies at the national and international levels; to train the workforce needed by our country at the national and international levels; and to facilitate brain gain for Turkey;
  • To prepare projects in various categories—such as scientific and applied research, development, innovation, and commercialization—at both national and international levels; to establish project collaborations; to form working groups to implement projects; and to establish and operate the necessary joint laboratories; 
  • To collaborate with various institutions and organizations—including national and international scientific organizations, industrial entities, public institutions, civil society organizations, municipalities, chambers of commerce and industry, stock exchanges, commercial entities, research centers, educationalinstitutions, and institutes; 
  • To contribute to Turkey’s activities in the field of clean energy technologies through infrastructure, projects, and a skilled workforce, To contribute to the enhancement of our country’s international energy competitiveness in terms of science, technology, and skilled human resources; to offer sustainable solutions to existing or emerging energy-related problems; and to implement and monitor these solutions;
  • To ensure coordination between the laboratories established within the University for topics related to clean energy technologies and those to be established within the Institute; to develop and share guiding and unifying frameworks for activities in the field of clean energy,
  • To publish national and international print and digital periodicals and non-periodical publications and reports on clean energy technologies; to conduct strategic planning; to organize certification programs; and to host scientific, social, and cultural events such as courses, seminars, conferences, symposia, panels, and congresses; Organize fee-based educational programs,
  • To establish a documentation center on clean energy technologies,
  • To implement and disseminate the sustainable solutions developed within the Institute regarding clean energy technologies across various sectors, including education, industry, tourism, agriculture, health, and the environment,
  •  To establish, as needed, a national and international advisory committee on clean energy technologies within the Institute.
