Important Points Regarding Thesis Review

  • Thesis template review is conducted after the thesis defense has been successfully completed.

  • Before uploading your thesis for review, please read our “Common Mistakes” document and make any necessary corrections.

  • Make sure you have written your thesis according to the current templates. Click here to access the relevant guidelines and templates.

  • Our Institute recommends using the LATEX template to ensure your thesis is written in accordance with the thesis writing guidelines.

  • Please plan your schedule accurately for important dates such as the graduation application, thesis defense exam date, and thesis review upload date. It is your responsibility to plan all processes so that they are completed within your maximum timeframe. Please do not contact our Institute via email or phone regarding any issues that may arise in this regard.

  • Starting from the date of your thesis defense exam, you have one month to submit your hardcover thesis to the Institute. If your thesis is not ready within this timeframe, you may submit a written request to your department chair explaining your reason to request an additional one-month extension, and with the approval of the Academic Affairs Committee (EYK), you may be granted an additional one-month extension. The petition must be signed by both the student and the advisor. (A request for an extension may be made only once.)

  • When submitting the bound thesis, the physical copy of the thesis must include the original signatures of the thesis committee. The signature pages must be identical to those in our thesis template. Signature pages that do not conform to the template format will not be accepted, even if signed by the committee, and the student must revise the relevant page to conform to the template and obtain signatures from the committee again. Responsibility for this lies with the student.

If you are writing your thesis in Turkish using MS Word, use the “Turkish Thesis Template”; if you are writing it in English, use the “English Thesis Template.”
