The 3rd Workshop on Graduate Schools, organized as part of the TU12 initiative, was held on April 22, 2026, at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the Ayazağa Campus of Istanbul Technical University.
The workshop, which brought together the directors of the 12 universities and high-tech institutes that are members of TU12, addressed the topics of expanding the shared graduate education ecosystem, graduate education in the age of artificial intelligence, and transformation in doctoral education (industrial doctorates and modular graduate models).
Representing our university’s Institute of Natural Sciences, Institute of Social Sciences, and Institute of Clean Energy Technologies were: Prof. Dr. Selçuk Çebi, our Institute Director Prof. Dr. Aysel Kantürk Figen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melih Çınar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Genç Osman İlhan, Dr. Fatih Sorgulu, Süleyman Bolat, and our Institute Secretary Gökhan Taraç.
